Jackpot slots in the SpinBob lobby
Every reef has its legend of sunken treasure, and in the SpinBob lobby that legend lives on the jackpot shelf. These are slots where part of the prize structure sits above the normal paytable — a fixed top prize, a set of jackpot tiers or a prize pot that grows over time.
Jackpot games are grouped in their own section so you can compare them side by side. They follow the same UK rules as every other slot: a maximum of £5 per spin (£2 for 18–24s), no autoplay, no turbo and at least 2.5 seconds per spin. There are no bonus buys for GB players, so every jackpot round is reached through normal play. Our slots guide covers the wider slot rules.

Penguin King Hold & Win trio
3 Pyramids of Gold, Serpent Gold and Vegas Blitz share the Hold & Win mechanic but wrap it in very different themes: Egyptian tombs, a jungle serpent and a neon Las Vegas strip. If you like one, the others will feel familiar.
Novomatic and Betsoft
Vault Lock: Crack It Big is Novomatic’s safe-cracking jackpot-style game, while Book of Ra Deluxe is the evergreen Egyptian classic. Betsoft’s Mega Gems and Triple Cash or Crash bring a brighter, more modern look.
How Hold & Win works
Hold & Win is the most common jackpot mechanic in the SpinBob lobby:
- Land the trigger. Usually six or more cash or coin symbols on a single spin.
- Symbols lock in place. The trigger symbols stick, and the rest of the reels clear.
- Respins begin. You typically get three respins. Each time a new cash symbol lands, it locks too and the respin counter resets to three.
- The round ends. When you run out of respins or fill the grid, all locked values are added up.
- Jackpot symbols pay their tier. Special symbols, or a full grid, award fixed jackpots such as Mini, Minor, Major or Grand.
The trigger can only come from normal spins in the UK — there’s no paying to jump straight into the feature.
Fixed vs progressive jackpots
| Fixed jackpot | Progressive jackpot | |
|---|---|---|
| Prize size | Set amount or a multiple of your stake | Grows with every qualifying bet |
| After a win | Stays the same | Resets to a seed amount |
| Linked across sites? | No | Sometimes, across many casinos |
| Base game RTP | Usually close to normal slots | Often lower, as part of each stake feeds the pot |
| How it feels | Predictable top prize | Huge headline figure, very rare wins |
Fixed jackpots are easier to understand: the Grand might be 1,000x or 2,000x your stake, and it never changes. Progressive jackpots grow because a small slice of every bet goes into the pot. A pot linked across many sites can climb very high — but only because enormous numbers of spins are feeding it and very few are winning.
How jackpots are triggered
Studios use a few different routes to the top prize:
- Symbol combination — line up specific symbols, like a classic top payline.
- Hold & Win grid — fill the grid or land jackpot symbols in the respins feature.
- Random trigger — a “mystery” jackpot can drop on any spin, regardless of the symbols shown.
- Jackpot wheel or pick game — a bonus round where you spin a wheel or pick tiles to reveal a tier.
On some games, the chance of triggering — or the tiers you can win — scales with your stake. The rules panel will say so. Don’t push your stake beyond your budget to chase a higher tier; the £5 (or £2) cap exists for good reason.
⚠️ Bonus wagering on jackpot games
The SpinBob welcome bonus (100% up to £500 + 200 Free Spins) carries 10x wagering. Slots count 100%, live casino and table games 10% — and some jackpot games count 0%. If you’re playing with bonus funds, check the terms and the game’s info panel first, or you may spin for a long time without clearing any wagering. Full terms on our promotions page.
Realistic expectations
Jackpot slots are built around rare, large wins. That means:
- Most sessions end without a jackpot. The top prize is designed to land very rarely.
- Base game returns can feel thin. Part of the RTP is reserved for the jackpot, so ordinary spins may pay less often.
- The headline figure isn’t a target. Treat a jackpot as an unlikely bonus, never as a plan.
- Big wins bring checks. A large win may prompt identity or source-of-funds checks before withdrawal — see our KYC verification guide and withdrawals guide.
Jackpots on mobile
Every jackpot slot in the SpinBob lobby runs on the mobile site in your browser on iOS and Android, with the same jackpot tiers and the same UK stake limits as on desktop. The respins in Hold & Win rounds still respect the 2.5-second minimum, so a feature can take a little while to play out — let it.
Set a fixed budget for jackpot play, separate from your regular slots money, and stop when it’s gone. Tournaments such as Reef Drops and the Tide Cup offer another way to win cash prizes without relying on a jackpot — see our tournaments page.

Quick answers
What is the difference between a fixed and a progressive jackpot?
+
A fixed jackpot is a set prize, often a multiple of your stake, that never changes. A progressive jackpot grows with every qualifying bet until someone wins it, then resets to a starting amount.
Do jackpot games count towards the SpinBob bonus wagering?
+
Some jackpot games count 0% towards the 10x wagering on the welcome bonus. Check the bonus terms and the game's info panel before playing a jackpot slot with bonus funds.
Does a bigger stake improve my jackpot chances?
+
On some games, yes — the trigger chance or the jackpot tier you can win scales with your stake. The game's rules will tell you. Remember that UK stakes are capped at £5 per spin, or £2 for players aged 18 to 24.
Can I buy my way into a jackpot feature?
+
No. Bonus buys and feature buys are not available to players in Great Britain. Hold & Win rounds and jackpot features can only be triggered through normal play.
How are SpinBob jackpot wins paid out?
+
Jackpot wins land in your real-money balance and are withdrawn like any other win. Larger wins may trigger extra identity or source-of-funds checks before the withdrawal is paid.
